Sarcastic Statement: ho joy a mental werewolf how fun. Sorry to pop your little bubble but in my opinion those studies are bogus.
Theory: I suspect that we are talking about a two very different things when the word werewolf comes up. Johnson: werewolf = someone who can physically change their shape into that of a wolf, or a wolf that can change its shape into that of a human. (definition is a lot more complicated than that. But if I was to give the whole definition for werewolf it would last about three pages of size ten typing in blocky paragraphs.) Musing thought: I now believe I grasp the concept of why people dislike therians so much. |

Jonson, those studies were performed by respected researchers and published in respectable journals. They are by no means bogus.

I know they're respected because I am a psychologist and I'm familiar with the journals that the studies were published in. They're peer reviewed journals. I have the journal articles and I've read reviews of them. The people that did the research are known in the professional community and they are respected there. There is no indication whatsoever that any of their work has ever been suspect.
But if you know something about them that I don't - please enlighten me. You can start with the researcher on the McLean Hospital study. Edited by WolfVanZandt on Jan 21, 2008 7:22 PM |

Statement: look nothing personal on this but I have a feeling that this is rapidly going down into the sewers. I will try and see this from your point of view but I need to first know what you have read, if you would upload all the links portioning to this Mental Werewolfism and any books on the subject. You say you are a Psychologist, for me that means that you are one of those people who get paid to F*#$ with peoples minds, that is how I feel about phyco people and all your work on the subject. Me it is my job to try and block people like you out, again nothing personal. I want to be as plane as possible here, so I will spell this out once and very clearly. I...do...not...give...a...flyingflip...a
Explanation: boy that feels good, that has been building sense the start of the whole mental werewolf thing got started. But people like you freak me out, like the dentists. It is your home ground on mental cases and werewolves I give you that. Its my job to find the real ones that are physically capable of going werewolf. Query: why do they call it werewolfism or something doing with werewolf if its all mentally (in their heads) should not this be classified under a different tittle or something? Also please use short words preferably under ten letters when I see three words that are twelve or over in a single sentence the processor part of my brain goes to ?do we really care enough to look that word up?? mode. Musing thought: or it could just be me, paranoid of everything, sleeps with a loaded shot gun, with a Ruger under the pillow both loaded and ready for action. <hums to himself the tune to Trigger Happy.> Edited by Jonson on Jan 21, 2008 9:31 PM |

LOL
Aye, I am one of those people that get paid to F%^k with people's minds. How nicely and accurately put. I also am not much interested in mental Werewolves. But I commented on that on the other thread. As for why "Werewolf", I also answer that on the other thread. To expand it here, if you look at the Werewolves since the 15th century, they're mostly mentally ill people. Before the 15th century (and down to today in eastern Europe and other places) it was completely different. If you tease the second hand accounts from what might have actually been - the original Werewolves looked like us. So what's a real Werewolf? The things you see in a movie or the original people who were called Werewolves? But.....unless you find out that a friend is a Werewolf or we might impact your life in some other way, I can't imagine why you would be interested in Werewolves at all. I certainly can't imagine why you would believe they existed without some kind of real world evidence (I also don't know why you would dismiss it). I also don't know why young Werewolves seem to have to figure out every piece of minutae about their Therianthropy. People don't have to have an opinion about everything. |

Statement: I off five to one odds on indigestion, any takers?
Explanation: for the most part I believe that werewolves exist for the same reason that people believe that there are higher powers out there that we do not yet know of. The galaxy is a big place and we can barely see any of it. There are many viruses on our planet as well as symbiotic creatures, who is to say that this dose not also hold true through out the galaxy? Theory: perhaps a species did arrive on earth (do you think that the government would tell you if it did?) what if a symbiotic creature or a virus merged with a few individuals or perhaps mutated into something different over time. Mocking statement: ?the government wouldn?t lie to us!?-AVP2 (all the people in the Alaskan theater were lafing(dam this word) so hard it was hard to hear for the next two minutes.) Problem: humans fear what they do not understand and can not control or convince themselves that they have the illusion of control. For that reason is why not to come out into public about this. Because it could trigger a massive catastrophe. Economic saying: the masses are asses. (lot of people together equals low IQ) |
